Welcome to Higher and State Audit & Accounts Services Association

This Association is a major and prime Association of West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service. Our Association came into existence in the year 1975. The Government of West Bengal constituted a three-tier Cadre Service namely, Higher Audit & Accounts Service, State Audit & Accounts Service and Junior Audit & Accounts Service in the year 1971. Recruitment to the service started in the year 1973. With the passage of time, all the posts as earmarked for the Higher Audit & Accounts Service were encadred in West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service. In 2001, West Bengal Junior Audit & Accounts Service was also merged with West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service, thereby, at present; there is only one unified Service in the state. Members of this association have always been playing an important role in Audit & Accounts and management of financial activities of the state.

West Bengal Treasury Rules, 2005

Sandakphu (3636 m; 11,930 ft) is a mountain peak in the Singalila Ridge on the border between India and Nepal. It is the highest point of the ridge and the state of West Bengal, India. The peak is located at the edge of the Singalila National Park and has a small village on the summit with a few hotels. Four of the five highest peaks in the world, Everest, Kangchenjunga, Lhotse and Makalu can be seen from its summit. It also affords a pristine view of the entire Kangchenjunga Range.

The Sundarbans National Park is a national park, tiger reserve, and biosphere reserve in West Bengal, India. It is part of the Sundarbans on the Ganges Delta. The delta is densely covered by mangrove forests, and is one of the largest reserves for the Bengal tiger. It is also home to a variety of bird, reptile and invertebrate species, including the salt-water crocodile. The present Sundarban National Park was declared as the core area of Sundarban Tiger Reserve in 1973 and a wildlife sanctuary in 1977. On 4 May 1984 it was declared a national park. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site inscribed in 1987, and it has been designated as a Ramsar site since 2019. It is considered as a World Network of Biosphere Reserve (Man and Biosphere Reserve) from 1989.
